There is no series of books that will get a higher recommendation
from me than the Adobe Classroom in a Book series.
These are top-notch books for beginners -- if you want to learn
the basics of Photoshop, buy this book.
It is not always the case that the publisher of software is the best
authority on using the software, but with
Adobe's Classroom series, you get excellent step-by-step
tutorials and full-color photos that provide a good solid understanding of the
product.
The book also comes with a CD that contains all the files you need
for the tutorials.
