MARVELOUS MEETINGS
My goodness, I had an exquisite day this past Friday. I had
the grand opportunity to loiter about the steps of a toy store
in the company of two wonderful web women (yes, there were
some beloved gents about as well, but you wouldn't know them):

http://www.webvoodoo.com/ Truly a day to be treasured and
what grand fun to meet two of the talented artists listed at
FreeGraphics.com -- who turned out to be not only wonderful
artists, but truly gracious, lovely, articulate and fun women
as well (who, btw, have convinced me I *must* purchase
Painter).
In other news, one of the sites added to the database this
week is not your standard web graphics sites, but it is a
great site of wonderful desktop wallpapers and well worth a

NEW CALENDAR

I've added a calendar of the upcoming Featured Downloads at
FreeGraphics.com -- this calendar is mainly for listed artists
who wish to participate (so they can see what weeks and themes
are available), but everyone else can stop by and get a sneak
preview of the great things to come.
ART TODAY (Promotion)

ArtToday is a *great* resource -- over 700,000 graphics and
over 2,000 fonts all in one place. We use their service at my
office and when I need to create a little spot graphic for the
inTRAnet, I pop over to ArtToday. Why? Not only because of
the number of graphics, but because it is SEARCHABLE. Need a
picture of a lock? A racecar? Just search on the keyword and
ArtToday will display the matching images -- so much easier
than thumbing through a huge book of clipart thumbnails. No,
it's not free, but it's $29.95 for a year's subscription and I
tell you, at least for me, it's well worth it.

of the art.
